You’ll receive an email from piers@millhill.media containing your individual redemption link. Log into or create a free Vimeo account, and then click the link in the email and this will take you directly to the checkout. The total price should read £0.00 – if it does not, please contact me as there may either be a fault with the service provided by Vimeo or the url link may be incorrect. Even though the total price is £0.00, you may need to enter your card details at the checkout page. Once the order has been completed, the video will be added to your account and you can then watch and download it via the Vimeo Website, or through the Vimeo app on Apple & Android devices and smart TVs.

I will aim to have videos ready within 3 to 4 weeks of the concert date, however video editing is a very time consuming process and, as such, videos produced towards the end of the summer school period may be delayed by a number of weeks while earlier (and other non-Kent Music) projects are completed.
Videos will also be delayed due to child safe-guarding where pupils need to be blurred out and the video needs to be vetted by Kent Music.
I have provided an estimated date of completion on each project below (based upon timings from last year), however this is only a rough guide and projects may be completed before or after the estimated completion date.

Yes you can and I actively encourage you to. If Mill Hill Media ceases to trade (and pay a service fee to Vimeo) or if Vimeo itself closes down then the streaming versions of these videos will be lost. I have enabled downloads so that you can save a copy to your computer to store in perpetuity.

Videos from 2021 – 2023 can be requested by contacting me however you’ll need proof that your child was on the relevant course which will be cross-checked with Kent Music.

Unlike recording a video using your mobile phone, video production is a costly process, we use up to 6 professional microphones, and up to 8 full-HD and 4k cameras on certain events. The cost of producing the videos is not subsidised by Kent Music so I rely entirely on income from sales to make my living.
– Travel, set-up / set-down, filming, editing, and production of physical DVDs can take anywhere between 10 to 40 hours per project depending on the complexity of the recording and the amount of child protection involved and I have to provide a wage for myself and any additional camera operators / editors who help.
– Unlike DVDs or videos from Hollywood or online broadcasters, these are bespoke products made for a small number of clients and so I have to charge more to cover my costs as I can’t produce these on bulk.
– The cost of running an editing business is high, with annual subscription costs for the editing software, Vimeo streaming service, and stock footage coming in at over £1000 a year.
– The cameras and audio equipment also need replacing every 5-10 years and can cost upwards of £4000 per item to replace.
– I have to factor in my own personal pension, and a wage for myself to live on at the same time.
All these things together mean that prices may be higher than what you may have been expecting, but you’ll be supporting a Kent-based sole trader and I hope the finished quality of the product will speak for itself.
